Breaking News: Archbishop Chaput named Archbishop of Philadelphia
July 19, 2011 - Pope Benedict XVI has named Archbishop Charles J. Chaput O.F.M., Cap. as the 13th Bishop and 9th Archbishop of Philadelphia. Cardinal Justin Rigali and Archbishop Chaput will hold a news conference at 10:00 a.m. EST (8:00 a.m. MST).

Archbishop Chaput will serve as Diocesan Administrator of the Archdiocese of Denver until he is installed as Archbishop of Philadelphia on September 8, 2011.
